Karazhan run for Saturday/Sunday, March 8/9 - New -> Veteran
Logistics
Invites: 12:30 Server Time
Summons: 12:45 Server Time (anyone not on by this time will be assumed unavailable)
Enter Karazhan: 1:00 Server Time
Goals: Saturday: Attuman, Moroes, Maiden, Opera, Curator; Sunday: Full Clear
Group Makeup
Guiding Principle: Effort will be made to build a functional team with a mixture of both senior and non-senior raiders.
I would like this raid to focus on the new players with very little epic gear. I want to make sure the ungeared people get a reasonable shot at the loot from these early Karazhan bosses. This raid will be continued on Sunday, at the same time, and veteran players will be brought in as needed to progress through the rest of Karazhan.
Possible Composition
Tanks: Jakaar (D), Lang (D)
Healers: Ergrim (Pa), plus 2 more healers
DPS: Krahen (H), Jurar (W), Cuttera (Boom), Kilzara (M), + 1 more dpa
Notes
Standard Procedures
1) Show up with your equipment fully repaired; all necessary consumables (ammunition, reagents, health potions, mana potions); and specialty items (specialty potions, specialty food).
2) If you can fill multiple roles (i.e., tanking or DPS) bring all the necessary equipment for both roles.
3) The team moves from boss to boss with a roughly 3 minute break after each boss. If you require an extended break during the run then you need to notify the raid leader ahead of time so that a replacement can fill your spot.
Karazhan Loot Distribution
a) Loot is handled on a 'per day basis'. (Examples: Consider a team kills several bosses, breaks for several hours and then returns; perhaps with a couple of different raiders. This second effort would be considered the same 'run'. Consider a team kills several bosses and then breaks, returning the next day; perhaps with a couple of different raiders. This second effort would be considered a different 'run'.)
b) The raider with the highest priority receives the item.
c) Raiders that would use the item in a raid capacity have priority over those that would not. Beyond that, main characters always have priority over any alternate characters. Beyond that, raiders that have not received an item during the current run have priority over those that have already won an item during the current run.
1) Priority will be given to those main characters that would use the item in a raid capacity, and have not yet received an item during the run. - Priority 1
2) Priority will be given to those main characters that would use the item in a raid capacity, and have already received an item during the run. - Priority 2
3) Priority will be given to those non-main characters that would use the item in a raid capacity and have not yet received an item during the run. - Priority 3
4) Priority will be given to those non-main characters that would use the item in a raid capacity, and have already received an item during the run. - Priority 4
5) Priority will be given to those main characters that would not use the item in a raid capacity, and have not yet received an item during the run. - Priority 5
6) Priority will be given to those main characters that would not use the item in a raid capacity, and have already received an item during the run. - Priority 6
7) Priority will be given to those non-main characters that would not use the item in a raid capacity, and have not yet received an item during the run. - Priority 7
Priority will be given to those non-main characters that would not use the item in a raid capacity, and have already received an item during the run. - Priority 8
If multiple raiders have the same highest priority, then they roll (1-100). The raider who rolls highest wins the item.
Clarifications:
a) It is perfectly acceptable to bow out of rolling for an item when you see that others want it.
(Example: Milric declares that he would like an item, then Varissul declares that she would like it as well. Milric declares that he will bow out, thus Varissul wins the item.)
b) If a raider wins a roll, they RECEIVE the item. Winning the roll DOES NOT give the raider distribution rights for the item. Thus, it is NOT acceptable to roll for an item and then direct that it be given to another.
(Example: Milric declares that he would like an item, followed by Varissul, followed by Modeus. The three roll with Milric winning. Milric then declares that he does not want the item and that it should be passed to Modeus. [This is unacceptable] Milric should not have rolled. If he declares that he does not want the item, then the next highest roll wins and Milric gets told not to do that again.)
c) All guests are treated as main characters and follow the same rules for loot.
d) Crafting patterns and recipes are handled in a similar way, but winning one does not count as winning an epic loot drop.

Lang,
Would there be any way to have a weekend-oriented raid for people? I'd love to go on tue-thur but I just cannot because of my schedule.
I have my nooby paladin that I need to gear up and he's crying little dwarven tears on the sidelines.
You don't want to make a dwarf cry, do you? |

While I don't mind so much if all the dwarves in Ironforge douse the forge with their tears, I too feel a weekend run would be good. But this weekend is tricky because of a planned Gruul's Lair run and our usual ZA run.
I could run on Friday night, but I've found fewer people are available. It looks like Saturday night will be Gruul's and Sunday night is ZA. That leaves the afternoons on the weekend. Please let me know if Friday night would be better, or if Saturday/Sunday afternoon will fill the bill.
I want to get new players a chance to play, but I'm willling to switch out for veterans if there is time to proceed to the harder bosses.

I would really like to to try and make this...the problem is RL limits me to playing later than most. I can sometimes get on during the day on wknds, but am mostly limited to Wk nights around 10 EST (9 server) til 12 EST and Fri and Sat from 10 EST til whenever. I wll try to make this run, but if you have someone defiante, let them go instead.

| I would really like to go on this raid with my mage Kilzara if she is keyed for it. I am trying to get her keyed. I could also go if you need a healer. |

I am available for Kara this Saturday! I had a great time running Kara last Friday (second half after Curator). I have to admit that I felt sort of noobish running with CoD because I wasn't used to the way you approached Kara vs the other guilds I have been with. You guys are awesome and I want to continue to work with you so I can mesh with the guild! _________________ Hebrews:11-1 Faith is substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. |

Sidhg is unable to access the site but asked me to post on his behalf: he is available for this run and all others that end before 10pm server time.
Sid is a well geared hunter but hasn't been on any raids with us because of the sign-up problem.
