The Council of Dragons is a casual PvE/PvP Raiding guild. Basically this means that we are a group of people that have prior commitments in our lives and cannot always adhere to a strict raiding schedule but still wish to experience end game content. Our raiding schedules allow for greater flexibility for those who work or attend school full time while still allowing us to progress in the game.
Our average age range is 25 - 45 with a few above and below that range. We are a mature content guild and we do not recommend that those under 18 apply. This is not to say that we do not make exceptions to that rule but above all we look at maturity and the ability to work as a team.
We are not looking for the glory hounds of the server, we do not feel the need to prove anything to anyone with "phat lewts" and bosses killed, it is not our style. We do not r0XoR n00bz oMg wtf BBQ!
We currently have Karazhan on farm status (more or less) and have downed two bosses in Zul Aman. We have a few prominent PvPers and host "Naked Arena" guild events from time to time (usually Wednesday night after Kara) as well as the random lark to break the monotony and provide endless photo ops (summoning infernals in Goldshire most recently).
Our schedule lately has been one Kara team Tues and Thurs, another Wed and Friday from 7pm to about 9:30 pm server time, and ZA and soon Gruul's on weekends at 5 server or thereabouts. Again just to be clear: CoD is a CASUAL guild and by "casual" we mean that the schedule can change due to unforeseen issues, we care much more for the well being of our players and their families than virtual WoW gear and that there can, and will be down time and you may actually have to entertain yourself (**gasp** I know - it's horrible!!!!). |

| So am I to understand that guild chat is "mature" and that releasing elementals on Alliance babies is okay with the Council of Dragons now? Just asking for clarification. ty Varis |

I never equated maturity with self righteousness or taking oneself seriously. I don't want to be so mature that I can't do silly things on occasion like naked arena events or running around after Vorpil equiped in my boots and a fishing pole.
My personal opinion is that we shouldn't constrain how our guildmates entertain themselves in Azeroth provided they meet the guidance in the code of conduct. Anyone that feels they have a reputation to uphold as a fearsome horde killer in the BG's needn't participate in naked arena, for example, but I don't think it brings discredit to CoD to have such events.
Please let me know what you think. |

Sometimes I think I need a break from the "serious raiding and questing" and dailies... fun, good-natured, humorous and screen-shotable guild events like running a lowbie instance in tabbards and boots for best time is fun and stress-relieving.
A general notice in the general channel that our guild/group is about to perform a daring feat of unquestionable "stupidity and entertainment" in the zone is usually enough to warn people - those who don't pay attention are great fodder for screen shots. (I know, because I have been on occassion part of the scenery).
**Faroth - next time WARN me..I may not be innocent, but I would at least be ready to capture it on video!!! |

The 'mature' chat can step out of line at times, and I hope that officer's will help keep it in the general vicinity of 'good taste'.
I dropped by Goldshire to see what was going on. Blizzard changed it so the summoned can only attack those things that attack it. So, if you are a level 10 priest hanging around there and see a yellow-named ?? level critter, you understand it will pulverize you if you attack it.
In fact one lower level character there that evening chose to attack it and be killed many times. He kept begging _____ to summon it again.
Pretty harmless in my opinion.
